"Alien" is a letter scramble of "linear."  Engineers at Alien have worked inside of the world's leading and most innovative audio design teams -- solving their most challenging design and production problems. Real innovation is messy and seldom follows a linear path.   But what about the missing "r" in the letter scramble?  Sometimes things get left out of the original plan.  Adapt. 

The second word in our name explains our philosophy on progress. While planning is essential, overanalyzing delays building and is to be avoided.  Get in the sandbox and build. 

Neal A. Hall founded Alien to commercialize promising electroacoustic innovations. His team is presently working covertly on early-stage innovations that will change the user experience in consumer electronics audio.  

Neal is also founder of Silicon Audio, Inc. which today manufactures the world's highest dynamic range accelerometer.  The sensor has repeat customers on 5 continents and is used in the most demanding geophysical applications. The sensor was recently selected by NASA for the Artemis III lunar mission and will be installed by astronauts to observe moonquakes in 2026.  Neal is the former recipient of a DARPA Young Investigator award and ONR Young Investigator award, both in electroacoustics.
